The History Behind The Dubai Gooners
The Dubai Gooners started at the beginning of the 1997/98 Season. It started with three principle members, namely, Adam (The Queer Boy), Steve (The Cricket Captain) and Myself (The Dubai Gooner). Then nearing the end of the season, Warren (Wazza the Tennis Coach) joined us (by the way he is the spitting image of Vialli). Adam, Steve & Wazza have since departed to go to pasture's greener. But I'm still here in the desert keeping the Gooners going.

That Season saw the Arsenal win the double and what a year it was, first beating Newcastle 2-0 at Wembley(RIP) then Tony Adams scoring the fourth against Everton to win the Premiership. Did we party that night or what, we drank a bottle of Champagne each then Wazza and I ended up down at the Irish Village, very drunk and carrying a four foot high FA Cup replica.

The club has since expanded considerably and getting bigger all the time. We are about 20 strong when we can all get together.
